Description
So after tinkering with this over the course of a few months, I finally finished her. This is, of course, Spider-Woman, Jessica Drew, pregnant. I used Apoxie Sculpt to make her belly and the trim on her boots. Her boots are just painted on and that irritated me so I added some trim.I didn't make her belly super massive because I wanted her to maintain her full range of movement, from her torso to her legs. I also repainted the yellow on her since the original paint was not to my liking. Also painted her glasses.I would love to make more of these if I could get my hands on more figures but alas, Amazon is expensive and Toys R Us doesn't exist anymore. Missing that place, the money, and in this case, the employee discount.

They didn't give a reason that I could find, which is a total shame but I bet they didn't want to face any angry women backlash. My only thought is when the original pregnant Midge doll was released by Barbie, she didn't have a ring on, and that caused people to protest, because she wasn't overly married. They re-released her with a ring on later. Spider-Woman is very openly NOT married.

Sad but this is the outcome we got. Also, the paint job on her, like the factory one, the colors are so dark and gritty. That's not what I want to see, I want my bright colors and flashy costumes. She's Spider-Woman, not Batman.

As for how much one figure will cost to do is about $150-#200 each. That is doing it on the cheap!

Sorry I did not answer how big they are. They are 12 inch and depending on the model, they can very in height by a 1/4 inch or so. The boob sizes very as well. I like the suntan with super hooters models. They come in white and suntan. They make them in black also as well as Asian. You have to look up Phicen on ebay to see the models. They have quite a few. You should try a Phicen figure! It does cost money but the end result is amazing. Get a Midge Pregnant belly via Ebay and have to look around for 1/6 figure clothes that would look good pregnant. I mix Barbie fashions with 1/6 clothes on ebay that work. Takes time to find the right stuff. I am very detailed so I want the figure to look right. I make sure the stuff fits right. I am sure you saw the blond phicen with the custom maternity swimsuit. I had that custom made by a girl on ebay that makes custom 1/6 clothes. It was not cheap. $40 bucks just for the swimsuit but it made like a real one. Like your figure here!

Brother, I actually meant to message you directly and am very pleased you commented. I saw you work and am exceptionally curious. A Midge Pregnant doll? I actually own the second generation one. I had the original but a bully from high school pretended to be my friend long enough to steal it and break it. 2004 was a miserable time to be in high school, like all high school. I actually want to add bellies to the cheap, clothes Disney dolls. They're pretty easy.
Now, phicen? Never heard of this word, I'm assuming it's said "fee-sen." What is it? Tell me more. How big are your dolls?
As for my customizations, they're just fun things for me to do to pass the time. Also to practice, have you seen the sculptures my friend and I make?

No, I do not use anything permanent. This is because the Phicen figures are expensive. I use the plastic Midge Belly that came on the Barbie doll Midge mommy doll. They fit perfect!

Ah, I gotcha. Maybe you could make a belly out of clay that doesn't adhere. Just like, put it on, size it, bake it, and sand it if you need to.
