Description
This is a new character that I will be introducing soon into my Aquatica stories. Her name, as a superheroine, is Demir, Turkish for iron. That should be a hint as to her powers. Real name is Esra Yavuz, and keeping the trend of the girls getting their powers from weird medicine/supplements, Demir gets her powers from an iron supplement. Now, unlike Alice, she's still in college, and just pulls her red hijab up over her mouth, or switches to another color, hence the book bag. She also keeps other important stuff in there. So, symbolism, red is the color of the Turkish flag, the grays are the colors of metal, of which, she can turn into. Both her full body, or just portions. And notice how much of her skin is hidden. It's almost like if someone would to try and punch her in the tummy, they may end up breaking their hand on a fully iron skin, while her face remains normal. So she has a nazar on her tummy, the "evil eye." The Turkish use it for just about everything that requires good luck. Their airplanes have them, their ambulances do too. In their hospitals, when a baby is born, a nurse hangs a nazar on the door, to ward off evil and protect the newborn and the family. So of course, Demir needs one. I have a few other new characters to draw and after I draw them and get a feel for them, the stories will follow. Oh and this isn't the most concrete appearance, I may change Demir up again. Her face is...well, I like it but idk, I might have to redo it or refine it further. Since the Turks are a Central Asian people who migrated into Asia Minor, I tried to give her a look that contrasts with Alice's. Hence Demir's thick eyebrows and big lips and different skin tone. I may need to color her more like the Zhang Sisters, idk. We'll find out later down the road! I also don't like how the white gel pen came out on her metallic hands, lesson learned there. I may try a nude drawing of her soon.

Interesting how you have this sort of elemental theme building up, but still no definite answers as to the main reason or purpose. I'm still happy. to see new faces and bellies appear in your roster.

Thank you, I'm glad you're approving of my ideas. I have another girl with other powers to introduce but she's definitely a supervillain. Flare is a villain but she's not like, a monster.

Well not every villain has to be a monster. Variety makes for more fun anyway. And most of the best villains don't even see themselves as wrong. Weirdly enough, one of the best examples I think of is Lord Shen from Kung Fu Panda. A being driven by pride and arrogance and under that, fear. Surprisingly deep motivators for a cartoon peacock.

I remember Lord Shen, yeah, he was shockingly deep.
As for villains being a monster, I guess Makan is more or less a monster. Though I do have a real monster villain planned. Like, look at it and go "ok, that's a monster lady."
