Nirppa is a confident male who knows his own worth and refuses to be treated with less respect than what he deserves, he’s not some milksop who’s afraid to bare his fangs when someone attempts to walk over him like he’s nothing. There’s always the ranks to consider, of course, but don’t forget that the male has a very good memory when it comes to those who have wounded his pride.

There exists many strong opinions inside that thick skull of his and it’s usually a pain to make him change them, whatever he believes in he’s ready to defend. Those believes define him, after all, without anything to put his faith on Nirppa would be lost and surely go mad. In a way, he needs something bigger in his life in order to feel like his existence has purpose and right now that something is Kol and Malaysia. His loyalty towards the pack can't be questioned and if it is, he will be very offended.

Admitting, that he has been wrong about something, is worse than swallowing bitter medicine to him. Even if it would be wrong for him to do so, Nirppa will come up with excuses as to why such a thing could have happened to him, until there’s no more excuses left to give and the only thing he can do is to admit being wrong. Nirppa’s own mistakes feel like small cuts against his hide, the pain being sharp and difficult to forget. During his weakest moments, those past mistakes and moments of shame will come back to haunt him and test the strength of his will.

To those around him Nirppa will inevitably seem harsh, mostly because he has a bad habit of expressing himself in a honest yet dismissive manner. Sure he rarely leaves others hanging when there’s something that must be said, but at the same time he often manages to make others feel like he’s looking down at them. That he’s somehow better than them, that he’s the only one who has suffered and so he has the right to have the last word in everything.

Even Nirppa himself is aware of this, but unfortunately it’s difficult for him to tame his tongue. The words roll out of his mouth before he even realises it and then regrets ever opening his jaws afterwards. If you ever stop to wonder, why the male is being so quiet, it’s because he doesn’t want to say anything he might later on regret. He has done so plenty of times already and knows painfully well how touchy others can be.

Although once his patience has run out, Nirppa is known to have little temper tantrums and during those moments the male can be extremely difficult to handle, a true headache to say the least. He won’t listen a thing you say and just spits out curses and whatever else comes to his mind at anyone's face who dares to come too close.

It takes a while to get used to him, but at the end of the day Nirppa attempts to purposely insult only those he sees as his enemies, not the ones who are close to him. Deep down he has a soft heart, only revealed to those who can look past his harsh words and see the true meaning behind them. No one would describe Nirppa to be kind or godforbit caring after a single meeting, but he is, he really cares. In a way, the harsher he is to someone the more he worries about their wellbeing.

[ History ]

When the great pack was split in two, Nirppa followed his parents to Kol without any questions. They were his parents, they knew better, and for once in their life the choice that they had made brought joy to Nirppa. The split was still a sore topic for many, but the sadness was soon overrun by hope of a better future that was promised to them. A future where they could claim back their old glory, live like in the stories! Nirppa could barely sit still in his hide while thinking about it.

Not all was so wonderful thought, Nirppa’s mother was about to give birth to her second litter but instead of feeling joy she was simply terrified. His mother was a very fragile she-wolf you see, her first pregnancy had been a difficult one which ended in a early birth and as a result most of the pups died, Nirppa was the only one strong enough to keep on breathing so of course he got spoiled rotten. She had every reason to panic.

As expected nothing went right, the first two pups were born dead and the third one got stuck within the birthing canal which eventually took the female’s life. They had done their best, the ones that had helped his mother with the birth had told them when his father cried his eyes out beside his dead mate. Nirppa, however, didn’t feel anything at that instant, the sadness hit him much later after everything had sunken in, his mother was gone for good.

It changed his father for the worst and many times he claimed that other wolves were snickering behind his back, saying that you could only expect dead and weak puppies from a broken female. This wasn’t the case, he was imagining it all which raised concern in Nirppa who had no idea how to deal with his old man. And when he did try to speak with him, the older male ignored him, like he didn’t even see his own son while mumbling something about having to get stronger.

By this he meant that Nirppa had to get stronger and the male could only shake his head in disbelief. His father was no expert in herbs, but still he attempted to create some sort of mixture which would boost ones strength. He would pester the ocuuli for any tips they could spare, one time he got into a real bad argument with one of them and got himself punished severely for distracting the ocuuli’s important work. That didn’t stop him, he still continued with his crazy experiments. And Nirppa watched from the side as all sanity seemed to flee his father while insanity took over.

Once and only once did Nirppa agree to eat some of his father’s mixtures after making him promise to stop, but all he got was mild poisoning from the herbs and empty promises from his father who didn’t seem too concerned about his son’s condition. Once recovered, Nirppa shouted at his father, letting out all the frustration, sadness and anger that had been building up within while watching all the madness unfold right in front of his eyes. Still nothing, his father didn’t react, in fact he told Nirppa to quiet down because he couldn’t hear his own thoughts and it must have been around that time the son gave up on his father.

Some time later, it was told that his father had seen venturing to the wilderness but no one wasn’t sure where he had gone. Good, Nirppa thought to himself and bitterly hoped to stumble upon his corpse during one of his little adventures. He didn’t care, it was a very freeing to think that the madman was dead. Nirppa could finally focus on himself, too much time he had wasted in looking after the crazy!
