Because even with only one optic and no mouth, you can get a lot expression out of that face. I honestly think the thing that really makes the design are the helm 'wings'; however. The phrase I used when describing the design in my head was 'technorse', because I wanted a vaguely viking sort of nod to go with the heavy metal album cover setting.Related content

I actually have a few different pieces I've been working on, they're just in various stages of completion. I swear I'm not dead! Just been busy with friends and work recently, so drawing's been on an 'as I feel like it' basis.

A mixture of Procreate and Manga Studio 5, depending on exactly what I'm doing. Mostly MS5 is used for lettering and some particular coloring effects nowadays; basically everything is drawn in Procreate using the iPencil because it's the closest to a sketchbook. I keep meaning to do a 'how I art' post.

I'm a sucker for this kind of face type with robots; like the smooth surface Zero/Borderlands or Daft Punk look?
