And so, Dante hits the point where he just can't keep trying. Considering that every attempt to make things better made things exponentially worse, this is probably better for everyone, especially Jeremy, who's gonna have enough on his plate with the mess Dante's leaving. (Jeremy deals with so much insanity that it's amazing he handled it all. God among men, Jer.)

Springtrap: Things were horrible already, but that's...where it went really downhill. I was exhausted, I was desperate, I wanted it to stop but didn't know how. So I just did whatever I could to get through each night, because maybe I'd have an actual good idea in there somewhere.

Dante: You want music, fucker? I'LL GIVE YOU MUSIC!

PANEL 2:

Springtrap: Mostly, I just felt like I was going crazier by the day, and they kept coming, so another bunch of kids, honestly? Not that hard. Not if it'd make it stop, if only for a little while.

Dante: Hey, kids.

PANEL 3:

Springtrap: The new animatronics, the creepy ones? They went after me after that, which didn't help any. Y'know, I never figured out if they were possessed too, or if they just...knew.

Dante: Nothing to see here.

Springtrap: I'm not really sure I want to know, either way.

PANEL 4:

Springtrap: But...that was the last time. It was like after that last set, I just couldn't even think about trying again. I'd tried because I was desperate-it's not like I enjoyed it, I'm not some kinda sicko-but after all those failed tries, I just...couldn't. Not again. Guess I couldn't keep trying to justify it to myself, or something.

PANEL 5:

Springtrap: So I just kind of...gave up.

Phone Guy: Requesting to move to a different shift, huh? Can't say I blame you. Night shift's rough.
