So, I worked on this while ill. And since I was distracted by being sick, I didn't notice a minor (major) problem-I'd set the wrong height for every single panel to fit all eight onto my usual comic sheet. So if panels seem set up a bit funny this week...that's why, as I spent the past hour or so trying to correct things so everything would fit. PANEL 1:
Spring Bonnie: Okay, so you couldn't apologize, and now you're making up for it...here?
Springtrap: Basically.
Fredbear: He's attempting to, at any rate.
PANEL 2:
Spring Bonnie: So why are you talking about this in a big dark portal thing?
Fredbear: Privacy, but so much for that. Explaining all of this is difficult, I wanted to wait until a better time-
Spring Bonnie: If ever-
Fredbear: It's all for a good reason, I can promise you that.
Spring Bonnie: Hmph.
PANEL 3:
Fredbear: ...Since you've already stumbled into this, you can come along the next time I need to speak to Springtrap. Things will make more sense with time.
Springtrap: Stalling. This is familiar...
PANEL 4:
Phone Guy: Dante, what in the world-what smells like death?

Dante: ...I think some genius decided to take out the rat problem with poison in the vents.
PANEL 5:
Phone Guy: Again? Oh, no. And what happened to the animatronics?
Dante: Rat...death throes.
Dante, cont.: See, this is why we should've just let that stray alligator stay in the kitchen.
PANEL 6:
Spring Bonnie: Does that mean real explanations?
Fredbear: You may have to prod him for some of that.
PANEL 7:
Springtrap: Hey, don't throw this back on me.
Fredbear: If you didn't have mistakes to make up for, we wouldn't even be having this conversation.
PANEL 8:
Springtrap: Yeah-but-hrmph.
Fredbear: Just help Springtrap with the next step, and we'll talk more later. Go into the mines, help him find another clock.

I wanna know how a "stray alligator" got into the kitchen of a pizzeria that's presumably located in a city.

Florida! (Also, rule of funny.) And I picture the restaurant being in sort of strip mallish -type area, rather than a city proper, which backs up undeveloped land. Undeveloped land, in this case, with a waterway, which attracts gators.
This may be colored a bit by my experiences in Texas, where you can have big developments and a highway, and 'yeah, there's wild hogs in that field, be careful' directly behind all that.

So ... Goldie joined the party..? I have a feeling this move will raise suspicion among Foxy and Bonnie.

There was a bit of panicking going on with 'what do I DO with all this?' His shitty choice of hiding place will come up again later.
The important thing (for Foxy) us that Goldie is at least keeping an eye on Springtrap, and hopefully (maybe) keeping him from getting mangled. Or causing other, more competent people to be mangled.

The whole ugly truth and the backstory of it is a point I'm really, really looking forward to. There's a lot of planning that's gone into it.

I admit I'm aware of the Candy games, but I don't know much about them. (Watched an LP ages ago, didn't grab me.) That Rat looks like it's had a similar life to Springtrap, though.

You could say he went through a similar experience like Springtrap in a sense, though with the third Candy's game out, Rat's backstory is rather different than old Springy's.

Oh boy... From the flashback panels, the rats popped into the Animatronics to die and got minced by the gears and motor systems.
Still, with all the skirting they've been doing, Goldie's either not going to react well to discovering what Dante's done in his past life, or she's going to remember what he's done on the flipside when he was in her... That came out wrong, didn't it?
Also, what's the betting that he'd master his new powers to save Goldie in the Mines? Or would it be later against bosses like the Seagoon, Big Bubba, Porkpatch or *Gasp* Security?

Oh, no, it's worse than that. That's not rat blood. Think back to those newspaper articles from the original game.
The ugly truth is a bit I look forward to. I've discussed it a lot with a small handful of people, and there's a bunch of scenes from it I plan to have fun with.
As for what's coming as far as fights...well, you'll see. There's one I'm really looking forward to, but I'm not saying when it is or against who.

Uh... If it's the children, then why is Dante telling his friend about them... Or calling them 'Rats'? Why is he saying it's rats and about vents if those had nothing to do with children? And, if the children were in those suits, where are their legs? They should be showing through Bonnie's leg joints, but all I can see is Bonnie's endo legs. As a matter of fact, why mention the Gator?
Riiight... And when is this going to have to drop some of the humor and kick up the drama a bit? I mean, Goldie isn't going to react well to finding out her new friend is a murderer... Or if she remembers the flipside via being an AI, remembering being used as an instrument for the Murders?
I guess... But it will involve Springles eventually mastering his powers, of course. Still, if the Drama kicks up, I think it would be like how Naruto does it. There would still be humor, but there would be an equal, if not a much stronger, focus on the action and drama, right?

Dante is lying through his teeth, and the known rat problem makes for a good cover story for mess/smell/animatronics that suddenly look like they've been knocked around a lot. Fitting the bodies in required a bit of...forcing things to fit. (There's a reason axes keep coming up.)
The comic is a dark comedy above all else, and humor's going to stay the driving force, even when it gets to stuff that's darker. Fights are a relatively small part of the whole thing, really. I like playing with character moments and gallows humor.

Actually, they're Rats. You can see from the Gaps in Bonnie's body that he's only got his robotic parts. There's no leg from any person in the gaps... And it's not a child. Wouldn't have fit into the torso if compacted and Dante wouldn't have alerted his friend if that was the case.
The fact that he mentioned that they used to have a Gator also is another clue.
