Description A party of goblins out hunting in the forest might be in for a surprise they hadn't anticipated.

All 100% hand painted in Corel Painter using acrylic brushes, soft blenders and image hose (with custom nozzles for some of the foliage). Plus more hours than I care to think about!

I hope you enjoy it. Full view please!

The orginal image is 5700 x 3880 in size and prints are available via my web site .

Holy hell I LOVE this piece! what a detailed piece of art and hahah I found myself almost wanting to be there with those small goblins xD they seem so cute and adorable, how did you manage making goblins look so inviting?! NICE work man or more accurately said: AWESOME work!

Thank you! I love goblins, so I wanted them to have a an adorable side, although they are also mischievous and up to no good in the forest and so might be in for some trouble. I wanted to leave it up to the viewer to decide what happens to them (I have my own ideas of course and I plan a follow up painting one day).

this is some pretty incredible work. I have tried to create scenes like this. You have done it amazingly. the trees and lighting are brilliant. The depth is on. I could look at this for hours.

Thanks! Most of what goes into a painting like this one is a lot of patience doing all the detail work. But a lot of your art has amazing detail too, so I'm sure you know how it goes with sitting there noodling away at leaves and suchlike.

yeh I do,sometimes you feel like you will never finish a painting. But you can't get your mind of of it until it is finished.

Sums it up perfectly. Just started another woodland piece, an autumn one this time, and before every session I look at it and wonder how it'll ever be finished. But I'm eating, drinking and dreaming leaves until it is!

I like the little owl hidden up there. the foreground character gives it a sense of apprehension that would otherwise be missing. good on ya.

Thanks! Glad the foreground character is fulfilling her role, a lot of people seem to miss it which makes me wonder if I got it right.

Yes, I think so, it's how I planned it to work as it rewards the viewer who spends a bit of time looking. Besides, if she stands out too much the goblins are going to spot her too

Great work, esp with the light, the sun rays and what I love most about it are the leaves and trees. Ow, funny Just now while I was writing this comment I noticed that the tree in the middle, the one cut by a goblin, has a face. Amazing too
