I really dislike it when people use the "Well, I grew up in this time period and so...etc." It's no excuse for racism, sexism, homophobia, ANYTHING. You can open your eyes and see people as people no matter how old you are.
Not to mention the fact that it gives people from those time periods a really bad stereotype. :/
Anyway, wonderful shot. I love how vibrant the flag is. With the positioning of the flag between the two people, it's obvious what they're talking about.

Very nice...that plash of color just jumps out at you. What was the story behind this? ARE they arguing about homosexuality? Was this a rally, or a festival, or...?
That adult looks totally antagonistic. The kid looks less than thrilled.

Yeah, this was at a Prop 8 rally. The older guy was against gay marriage, the younger one for.

:snort: figures. I dunno why they keep trying to keep it illegal. It doesn't threaten them or affect them. They wouldn't like if it THEY were the one prevented marrying the person they love because of someone else's beliefs. (Not just religious beliefs, but beliefs overall.)
Or course if this offends you, my apologies! : )

It doesn't. I tried to make this shot neutral, but I'm in complete accordance with you.

Good deal. And I do think the image itself if neutral.

i noe right?
like how can they pass laws like that.

Great use of contrast and the B&W give it an almost photo journalistic feel
