Description
Here is one of my ideas for a silicon based life form. There are a lot of ideas out there that they would look like rocks or walking crystals. I prefer to think they would have durable, crystalline armor and bioluminecence. This species is aquatic, and predator. It is obviously displaying or communicating via fiber-optic-like bioluminecence. If it were actually hunting, it would be dark, and transparent.Related content

I love animal drawings, real or created from the imagination. More creatures are something I look forward to seeing!
If you don't mind, I would like to add your silicon based creature to The Gungan Cafe'. It is my creature club, mostly for movie creatures, crypto's, ect. But since a silicon based creature, as plausible as I find it-isn't on 'the books' yet. I think it would fit. If that is okay with you, of course!

You are welcome to add any of my creatures if you want. I am really bad about submitting my work to groups, so most of my stuff gets in groups via other people these days anyway.
