This is really a beautiful shot but I have to ask if the resemblances to Steve McCurry's picture of the afghan were done on purpose? And if you don't mind, I would kill to know if those eyes are real? Either way immitation is the sincerest form of flattery so if it was I'm sure it would be appericated. It's unfortunate you don't see things the same way as with the comment by ~lotuskid . but anyway this is a great image, the composition is nice & concentrates all the attention on the model's eyes, the colors are great too, nice job.

I just looked up the name of the photographer that took that picture & was going to make the same comment but then I checked the previous comments one more time & came across yours. The photographer's name is Steve McCurry, a journalist & the picture was of an afghan girl. It's the first thing that popped into my mind when I saw this & there is alot of similarity's, from the bright green eyes to the rag/towel covering her head. Did you know he went back & found that little girl like 20 years later & took another picture, unfortunately she was kinda ugly by that point though. This is a beautiful shot no matter what though, those eyes are amazing.

The model is superb! I love the contrast between her cloak and her hair and the green in the background and of her eyes works well with all that black and red. Very nice!
