Yeah, that's the kind of effect I was trying for originally, but I couldn't quite get the hand look right. I'll try to fix it by the nex titeration.

Yeah, the waving animation is a bit odd for some reason. I guess it's mainly because the small size of the sprite, which makes hard to make the animation you want to look convincing enough, but it ain't that bad, if you ask me. Also, I think those blue lines appearing on his pants don't look right at all. I think I know what effect you wanted to achieve there, but perhaps you could use colors that do less contrast there.
