Just wasn't enough, I wanted something with a little more "ZOMGYES!" to it 
I've been using this thing on MSN constantly for the past few days, so I figured it was worth uploading

I used Fireworks MX, though it's not exactly the program that does it but the frame rates. See, when you use really small frame rates such as 0, 1, 2, etc, it doesn't render well in most browsers. The browser doesn't actually update the image fast enough for each frame, so when it does update the image, it's already one or two frames past the next one and it shows that one instead. So, faster framerates can cause the browser to skip some frames, and in the case of my furiousnod it caused it to look like it was going a lot slower. The way to combat this is to actually slow down your frame rate, making it so that the browser's image update speed and the emote's speed are more in sync. By coinciding your frame rate with the browser's as closely as possible you ensure the fastest possible frame rate on that browser. Of course, this can differ from browser to browser, so it takes a lot of experimenting to find one that works on most major ones
