More a remark for your whole body of works, but you're a genius.

May I ask, where do you get your information about the Arawak culture? Are you simply using Taino culture or your fantasy? I could barely find anything about the Arawaks online, so I was wondering if you knew anything.
Really nice character, by the way!!

It's nice to see that there are more people interested in the Indigenous people of the Caribbean. I googled everything I could find on it,( which isn't much at all) and saved any image I could find. I started my search with the Caiquetio's, but there's even less info on them, so I Β broadened my search to The Arawaks. Β I should probably change the name since it's mostly my fantasy. Arawak is only a placeholder, since I haven't come up with a name for the character yet.
Thank you!

The culture of the lesser Antilles and the Caribbean in general have always fascinated me! Thanks!
I could only find things about Tainos (also a lovely culture, but not exactly what I'm looking for) and Caribs.Β
Your character is really nice. It's rare to see native American OCs that are not blatantly lazy and racist.Β
Is she supposed actually be representing a culture, or do you have planned world for her i mind?

That's awesome to hear! I'm from Aruba, so I was taught the history of the indigenous people of the Caribbean in school. I wasn't that interested back then unfortunately. But I find it to be a great inspiration for my art and personal project I'm working on.Β
It probably did start as lazy native American art. But I saw how much of a sensitive subject it is, so I decided to stay closer to home and did some research. She isn't supposed to represent the actual culture though, but I take inspiration from history to make my own world. It's an alternative fantasy retelling of the discovery of the "New World". Β
