A painting done for an Artstation challenge last year, the theme was "showing a character embarking on a journey"Most people did the normal "adventuring traveler" trope, but I decided to have a more different and slightly morbid take on the subject--involving a sickly monarch, elements of the afterlife and medieval/european folklore (water nymphs).
