Description Because these characters were cut from the game, they also had to be removed from the front cover, which left Sly to run alone on the rooftops.

Max: Say, shall we capture this raccoonish thief and give him a baguette as a farewell gift?
Sam: Can't think of a reason not to.

With Sam and Max would be around, the whole game would be over before you press START!

Were they seriously going to put Sam and Max in Sly Cooper?  XD

I'd TOTALLY play it if they were in the games (I don't really like Sly Cooper  )!

This was just wishful thinking on my part. For comparison, here's the real Sly 2 cover: www.covergalaxy.com/PS2/Sly+2+…

In the mean time, we'll have to wait for Purcell's license with TellTale to expire.

Oh my shit could you imagine if there was a Sly Cooper/ Sam and Max crossover game where you could either play as Sly running from the Freelance Police while doing all the stuff in his regular games or as Sam and Max trying to catch Sly or trying to figure out who's been stealing all that stuff in the style of their games?! I would spend ALL my money just kickstarting such an incredible project!!!

On the Sam and Max part, you start off thinking "duh, of course Sly's behind this," and work alongside Carmelita at the crime scenes. Over the course

of the game, you starts to realize that the point isn't to figure out that Sly did it, but what nefarious plot is he trying to stop with these heists? Sam

tries to convey this to Carmelita, but she remains dead set on catching Sly, so Sam & Max start to drift apart from Carmelita. Unless Sam can solve the

mystery in time, the differences between them become outright hostility, which hamper's Sly's, Sam and Max's, and Carmelita's chances to stop this

uknown fourth party.

It took me longer to think of the Sly Cooper part, but here it goes.

Like every other Sly game, he starts off in the middle of a heist: Sly grabs the loot, but he finds information

on someone else who should "spread the wealth." When they complete the next job, they realize this

person is only part of something even bigger. Each heist they pull brings Bentley one step closer to

understanding what that is. By the time he had the complete picture, Bentley also had some disheartening

news for the gang.  The organization they've tried to unravel was so large and complex that all of the

progress they've made will be erased in a matter of weeks. The gang couldn't hope to pull enough heists

to head-off their 'nefarious plot.' Carmelita on the other hand, has the power to coordinate with law

enforcement around the world and stop it, if she comes around to notice it.

As a thief, Sly can't just come up to her and say "PROTIP: Something's about to go down." Not only will Sly

look stupid if he said this, but she would just try to arrest him.  His best hope to get through to Carmelita

lies in Sam. He doesn't have the crush fixation that Carmelita has on Sly, and at this point, Sam already

realized that there's something bigger than Sly to stop, but what? When his working relationship with

Carmelita starts to fray, the onus falls on Sly to help Sam figure out what it is. Like with Carmelita, Sly can't

simply approach Sam with the information either. In fact, Sam's proclivity to catch him has interrupted more

than one attempt by Sly to flirt with Carmelita. He's been at so many crime scenes, that Sam has lately been

able to recognize Sly by his scent(being a dog and all).  So whenever Sly tries to return to the scene of his

crime, Sam's nose would give him away before he could have a heart-to-heart with her.

It irked Sly to be kept away from her, but he still needs Sam to get his message across. With each new heist,

Sly needs to leave some of the proof he has for Sam to interpret. But Sly has to be careful when he does

this, for if he gives to much at once, Sam will realize that the evidence was planted and dismiss the whole thing

as a ruse. If he doesn't provide enough, then Sam may not solve the mystery in time to persuade Carmelita of

anything. So, how much does Sly tell Sam?

Between the Sam and Sly modes, this could be something like a tandem co-op game.
