yeah! (careful with them thar spoilers, I know someone that hasn't played the game yet!) I always kind of thought that too. Like Zelda is dormant inside Sheik's mind, while he is physically active. And then vice versa.
Well, I don't really believe in that specifically, it's just one of many theories that have floated through my head. It's kind of a romantic one too. ^_^

But hey, to theorize that she wrapped herself is no more conclusive than to theorize that she uses a spell, or to theorize that she isn't physically Sheik at all. It's really pointless to debate it.. because there's too much that goes on behind the scenes that we don't know.
I kind of like to think of Sheik as simply a mysterious poem that acts in Zelda's stead, rather than a gender. That kind of thing isn't necessary for Sheik's character really..

maybe I'll draw a feminine version sometime just conceptually.. but ingame and in the artwork, Sheik looks very much like Link in body type (if not a bit more agile and defined). So that's what this drawing is attempting to reflect.
