Made this speedpainting while waiting on a render of my animation.A realistic Flygon, A mix of a dragonfly and a beetle.
I hope he looks cool.
Took me 1,5 hour.

This needs to be in the game!
Flygon should still evolve into its dragon-like form if leveled up, for fans who prefer the original appearance. But teaching Vibrava AncientPower should evolve it into this bug-form, like the cases with Mamoswine and Tangrowth. Both forms would have respective typing as well: Dragon/Ground and Dragon/Bug.

at first glance i thought it was yanmega, but flygons much cooler, his shiny was a disappointment, and i agree at least he shouldnt be ground type at all

Your version of Flygon is very different, but I like it a lot. The Flygon family have insect features to them so this version makes a lot of sense.

You are right its a ground dragon type. I am aware of that. But it looks like a dragonfly, its pre evolution looks like dragonfly and the one before looks like an ant. It does indeed have insect features. You can read the bulbapedia page about it if you want: [link] Thats why I based this realistic look on a dragon fly. Its my own interpetation and you may have otherwise, but this doesn't mean what I did is a bad thing. I'm very sure there are hundreds of other Illustrations of flygon you do like.

I'm not a huge fan of dragon-types, but if I had to pick a favorite, it would definitely be Flygon. Why? Because it looks like a giant insect of skull-caving awesomeness, and I prefer insects to dragons anyway.

thats funny cause when i first encountered drakes flygon in sapphire version i was like "IS THAT A BUG/DRAGON?!? THAT IS NUCKIN FUTS!!!" imagine how sad i was when i learned it was ground/dragon...regardless i still consider flygon (clears throat).."nuckin futs" XD

That is awesome. Besides the fact that dragonflies,Beetles and Flygon are awesome. This is a great realistic rendition. I love the shell wings.
