Here's my version of flygon... i was thinking of making a mix of dragon/insect first, but it felt strange so i changed to a pure bug. It's a harsh mixture of various insects like dragonflies, mosquitos and antlions.I like how it turned out, but i think the body looks a bit too stiff and that the... "brown sticks" (what's the english name for this bodypart? Many two-winged insects has thouse to steer with) under the wings looks a bit.. off.
Eerin [link] and I agreed to make a "realistic version of flygon" each, so we then could compare the two. Here's her neat version [link]
I thinks it's fun to see how serval parts turned out very alike on thouse two

It's too insect like. No dragon like elements that match with its type combination. Would be fine if Flygons were bug/flying types.

The basic body shape is completely draconian, the shape of the torso, the size and placement of the arms and legs, the length and structure of the tail.
In fact, only the secondary characteristics look bug-like.

Yeah, no. I am going to have to disagree with you. Besides the feet nothing looks draconic to me. We will have to agree to disagree. If anything even the creators note disagrees with you. He meant to make it look completely bug like.

I've could say, this Flygon is really more of a Bug-Type than a Dragon Type, but about your description about Flygon that looks a fusion of a dragon and dragonfly. Nice job, by the way, Flygon is my 5th favorite Pokémon.

Beautiful. I love the detail in this one. The tranparence in the wings and tail fan are probably my favourite features. Though why do the antennae go forward, when the real flygon's go backward?
Just like roselia, I look at them, and wonder how Drew could use these in a beauty contest. Not that this pokemon isn't amazing, but it's not beauty in the conventional way.

I just felt that antennae worked better if angled forward, but... Hmm... They’re quite long, supposedly it would angle them backwards when flying? The one in the picture is hovering, standing still in the air, so it has angled them forward for the moment?
I know nothing about Drew I'm afraid, but I guess it may be from the anime..?
That many "beautiful" pokémon has been "uglyfied" by me is partly because I like them much better that way and partly because I like to annoy n00bs who goes *zomg you made it ugly, I hate you* XD

Drew was a character who was in the Pokemon anime. He appeared in some episodes taking place in Hoenn.
Drew (who's name was Shuu in Japan) was known for his talent in entering pokemon in beauty contests. He used things such as roselia, and flygon. I've never seen him at work, but I'm told his pokemon were crowd stoppers.
