Description
Finally finishing up the Dixies. Dixie-6 has the Confederacy winning early, but Texas and California secede later and compete for the Indian West. That's all we really know. I've chosen to depict the American conflict as separate from other conflicts, with alliances shifting between the four states constantly. The UK has minimal involvement, content to keep the Americans divided. I've decided to do a German-screw to contrast with the German-wank of Dixie-1 and Dixie-5. Here, Germany manages to alienate Austria and France during its formation, but the French and Austrians unite afterward against the German threat. The British join up later, and thanks to Wilhelm II's incompetent chancellors post-Bismarck, manage to anger Russia later. The German War in the 1890s destroyed the German Empire, allowing France and Austria to ascend relatively. Of course, the continent has been divided between East and West afterward, as the reactionary Austrians and Russians do not like the liberal British and French. Also, I chose to add a strong Brazil and Argentina facing off in South America.Related content

Are the Indian territories de jure independent as well as de facto, or are the de facto borders contested between California, Texas, and the United States?

The American states each claim control over at least part of the Indian territories, and the United States claims all of it. The borders shown are the de facto control borders, demarcating which areas are under total control of the American states and which aren't. The Indian tribes are de facto independent, and are recognized by law, but not as sovereign nation-states.

Well this is certainly an interestign one! The Indian territories remind me of the world of the Difference Engine by Gibson, showing a fragmented USA (though with things like a Communist Manhatten commune).
This also reminded me of a project of mine regarding the Civil War. I am temporary on hiatus on making maps until I find a job, but inspiration can bring back ideas.

Thanks! I've gotten a couple of interviews so I celeberated by letting myself make a new map! (Also did it not to get rusty.)

I'm sure Prussia is a very loyal ally. (At least that's what you always hear when Russia sticks its hand up Prussia's ass and makes the lips move. )

Yep, Prussia here is kinda like an ersatz-East Germany, complete with Russian forces stationed to "protect Prussia from the French."
