Just to prove that I AM really making Maxime into a MUGEN player.At the moment, he's not so impressive. Completely adequate as a punching bag, but with only four attacks and one parry, he's not exactly the most awesome fighter to say the least. So here are some screenshots of him getting hammered by some of the others and attempting to defend himself as best he can.
I hope to have his one-button commands finished soon, and then I'll go on to the specials and supers. When he's finished, Maxime will be ready to kick some ass.
Oh yeah, and no, that blood doesn't belong to him, that's actually part of Ella's attack. We all know that there's no gore in Fort Glen/Electrospastic. Even so...where did the blood come from anyway if my characters don't bleed??

Quite a lot of them are going to be helpers, so I'm not too worried.
In fact, once Maxime's finished, I'll probably make something unrelated, like Mona from 2chan or something.

I must say, this character of yours is coming along quite nicely. As a M.U.G.E.N. person myself, I'm quite sure that this will be an awesome character come completion.

mkay. I've read a bit aboute him. Hese suposed do have somewhat weak attacks, but loads of combo's, right?

Right.
Also, Maxime's special bar charges REALLY fast compared to other characters. It would only take two complete combo strings before he's ready to perform his first special attack. However, his special attacks are only about half as powerful as everyone elses.
This means crazy combos and you get to use LOTS of special attacks and hypers. But it also means you have to be pretty technically skilled to use him correctly.

It's not *too* hard but rather tedious.
It depends on the complexity of your character.
Simple attacks and hitdefs are easy enough to code, ESPECIALLY if you have Fighter Factory to help you.
But things like combos, counters, extra special bars, helpers and complicated attacks can be very difficult.
The colour system MUGEN uses is rather stupid as well. Converting every sprite into 8-bit and then fuddling around with transparency is a pain in the ass.
But it's all worth it, I reckon.
