Hoh boy, looks like I gotta explain why I did these!

Every now and then, I get the idea to make an RPG game, but I could never figure out where to begin or what to do for it.
And plus, I've been finding myself back in the realm of Parappa after playing it for a brief amount of time on PSP in 2013. As I looked up stuff about the series, I read an interview that featured one of the creators (Rodney Greenblat), in which he liked that Parappa made a new appearance, but wasn't as happy about that appearance being a fighting game (Playstation All-Stars Battle Royale). So I thought to myself "What would be a good genre, besides directly rhythm, for Parappa to retain his musical elements without combat involved?:

Finally, on New Year's Eve during the morning, I was half-asleep in bed, when suddenly I imagined a Parappa RPG where turn-based battles were replaced with the traditional rhymes. My eyes widened, I woke up, and spent the next five days making some sort of proof-of-concept, and thus, these sprites were created and used in action then!

Is this project still going on? Yes, but after a small email session, I was advised by Rodney Greenblat himself to make my own characters instead of using his.
Not wanting to just hastily toss the work I did on these, though, I just now decided to upload the sprites right here on deviantart for you all to see!
I hope you like them! As for the project itself, I'll let you guys know more about it as its development progresses!

(Note: The only frames missing from most of the animations displayed are duplicates of frames that are shown on the sheet)
