Description So here's an interesting idea I had in mind: What if I could try and re-build Toy Story Activity Center, and do versions of it for modern PCs and Android devices? Well, I'm not sure I'll do the ENTIRE game, but I figured I'd at least build a portion of it. Maybe even pitch it. Who knows? Anyhow, here's the progress I made so far.

That would be nice to be able to play those old games on the modern Windows 10.

Right?! I'd love to see what I could do to port a few.

Well, first, you gotta find a way to extract the files from the original game, then you have to find a way to convert them into files that can be run on newer systems.

That's exactly what I'm doing here with Activity Center.

Looks pretty neat, how were you able to capture the footage?

Thanks!
I ran the game disc in Windows 98, which is utilized as a virtual machine running in VMWare Player.
Outside of the VM, I used Camtasia to record footage, then split the audio and video apart.
Lastly, I used an online video-to-GIF converter to turn the resulting mp4s into GIFs.

Thank yeah.
I got to try this out for myself.

Problem is the filesize will blow up massively if you use too many GIFs like I had. What you see here was already at under 50 MB.
Fortunately, I was directed to a video extension for Game Maker Studio today that can allow me to use video files instead of GIFs, making things way easier to keep at a stable size.

Would you mind hooking me up to the link to the video extension?
