Description Not Always what they Seem

Hello all. To celebrate my fandom as a major Bruce Springsteen fan and a Sonic Underground fan, I'm making parody album covers of Sonic Underground albums based on Bruce Springsteen's albums. I've wanted to do this for a while. Sure I did a parody of "Born To Run" a long time ago, but I want to use my NEW and IMPROVED style to draw the albums right. So, finally, I got off my lazy butt and decided to do the album-parodies I've always wanted to do. I may even do the backs of them when I get the time, including the songs... that would seem cool, eh?

Also, notice their names... Sonic (5 letters) Underground (11 letters) ... Bruce (5 letters) Springsteen (11 letters) and, believe me, I can easily see Sonic as Bruce Springsteen himself... can you? Be honest!

This is the fourth album. This one is based off of Bruce Springsteen's "Darkness on the Edge of Town" album, which is personally my favorite of his.

For Sonic Underground, I went with a song that that has the same amount of words as "Darkness on the Edge of Town" so I found "Not Always what they Seem" which was from the SU episode "Friend or Foe." I drew Sonic and the background separately, and I was surprised to see how perfect they fit together.

Also, for the text... you think that's Courier New? Nope, that's a special typewriter font I downloaded, so it matched with the album.

Well, enjoy "Not Always what they Seem"

This is the album where Springsteen's characters moved into adulthood and became "The Working Class". This is great music, and was the start of a recurring theme in his music. Of course, Springsteen might have had two Top 10 hits if he had ever recorded "Fire" (he gave that song to The Pointer Sisters) and "Because the Night" (that went to Patti Smith) on that album. Of course, they probably would have fit his next album much better. [link]
