Description
The Mobius StompHello all. To celebrate my fandom as a major Bruce Springsteen fan and a Sonic Underground fan, I'm making parody album covers of Sonic Underground albums based on Bruce Springsteen's albums. I've wanted to do this for a while. Sure I did a parody of "Born To Run" a long time ago, but I want to use my NEW and IMPROVED style to draw the albums right. So, finally, I got off my lazy butt and decided to do the album-parodies I've always wanted to do. I may even do the backs of them when I get the time, including the songs... that would seem cool, eh?
Also, notice their names... Sonic (5 letters) Underground (11 letters) ... Bruce (5 letters) Springsteen (11 letters) and, believe me, I can easily see Sonic as Bruce Springsteen himself... can you? Be honest!
This is the seventh album. This one is based off of Bruce Springsteen's "Born in the U.S.A." album. Released in 1985, the same year I was born! This album, even though Bruce launched it big with "Born to Run" ... this album made him a mega super hit star! This album made him just as big as Elvis Presley.
The red and white stripes, which is supposed to be of the American flag, are all digital rectangles. Then I used a screenshot from the SU episode "Bug!" where it had a shot of Sonic's butt, and I used that as a reference when I drew this pic. This one was easy.
For the song, since the album it's parodying is "Born in the U.S.A." and had mostly patriotic songs (and songs about Bruce's experience when Vietnam was going on), I wanted to find a song about Sonic's homeland. I figured "The Mobius Stomp" would work, that and THAT SU song is sung in the same hard style as Born in the U.S.A. is sung.
Well, enjoy "The Mobius Stomp"

The reasons "Born in the USA" sold 15 million copies (more than twice as much as his other albums) are generally because 1). His typical tales of struggle were now set to galloping rhythms 2). His characters finally had reason to be happy and 3). The misinterpretation of the title track as a patriotic anthem (it's not [link] (film)). [link]
