I wanted to try something new for me, so here's my first attempt. I was just playing around and threw away the composition one time. That's what I ended at. Quite unusual for me, so some people I asked didn't liked it a lot, but I'm happy with the outcome. Maybe you'll find something that should be changed/added etc., feel free to tell me.About the piece itself, as it was the result of playing around and listening to music mostly, there is not much to talk about. In the end, the first thought that came was something about a 'mastermind' beeing kept in a dark room, lonely and helpless. That's where the title is from.

Yes, that's what I thought too. I didn't want to fill up the whole piece till it blasts. That way, it doesn't carries the attention away. Maybe I'll add some details to the background, can't think of anything yet. I'll see.
Does the face really look so male? Yes, it's female, maybe I should soften it up a bit more. And is it really too dark? It looks fine on my monitor.
