dump numbah two! the work just hasn't let down, and as with before, this isn't even nearly everything o_O. i'm still having a blast tho, especially with numbers 13-17 cuz i get to spend the night sketching with ~likeOMFGitsJONNY <3QUICK INFO ABOUT EACH ONE:
1) facial self-portrait, black&white oils, 8x10in

I find it terribly hard to draw people realistically, and the way you draw people is very smooth and natural~
I want to try live drawing with a model, but I'm kind of embarassed to be seeing a stranger nude, even though being naked is a natural thing.
If I may ask, how did you get into it?

it's the best ipod ever! i have an ipod touch too (i got the shuffle for free, long story) and i don't even use it. you can't beat something that clips onto things and weighs less than a french fry.

damn good stuff.... quick question, when you do observational work, like the rockerfeller center drawing, how do you approach them, how do you start, what troubleshooting do you do and so forth?

the most important think i've been taught this year is to just fucking GO FOR IT. don't sketch, don't plan, just start in the corner of someone's eye and build out around it until you've drawn an entire restaurant of people. it's meditative and relaxing and really fun to sit there drawing without having to worry about anything too complicated :]
