I love this kind of lip tutorial, showing kinds of lips to draw, or the progression how you draw a lip. I love it.

It looks nice, but this isn't really a tutorial... It's more like a walkthrough. :I

Not every artist draws realistic lips. I try to draw realistically, but I still add features that a normal person wouldn't have without them being probably fake or photoshopped in (i.e. perky boobs, perfect bust-waist-hips sizes, etc). Some artists want to draw realistically, but still enjoy adding that small note of fantasy (such as the bigger lips here) that make the picture just that much more attractive or adds to a certain subject or want for the picture.

Dude, it's not that serious. I just made a comment, it's up to the artist to take it into consideration or not.

My comment was to the artist, not to you.

Well, excuse me. I just replied because it seemed like you assumed that every artist who draws realistically, does so completely, when that's not the case. No need to get your panties in a bunch over a reply.

"Assumed that every artist who draws realistically, does so completely."
You came to that conclusion on your own.
That was not the point of my comment.
Like I said, my comment was for the artist. She will take it or leave it.
Everyone else who has a problem with it can go complain to someone who finds their opinions valuable.

Again, no need to get your panties in a bunch. All I did was reply, and you didn't have to comment back, since it seems to irritate you so much. You're on a public site where people are free to reply to what they want. Expect some replies.

What a lot of people fail to realize is that when you reply to me you're asking me for my attention. It's like walking up to me on the street, asking me a question and expecting me to leave after I answered it, when I was standing there minding my own business.
I don't have my panties in a bunch, and I'm not irritated. Those who accuse are the ones who do the things they accuse others of doing. It's not a big deal to me, but it's horribly confusing to me when people reply to me and expect me to be open to discuss my opinion as if my opinion will change, as if what they think my opinion is somehow makes that the intention of my opinion, or whatever it may be.
If anything, I'm tired of people like you responding to me like what you say parts the sea or some shit. You think you're so rational, open-minded, and level-headed that you can't see why someone would not find your opinion valuable. Then you tell me I have my head up my ass or in this case, my panties in a bunch because we have a difference of opinion.
Yeah, sure. I'm done.

InvaderTarren13 In reply to BlackVinyl [2013-07-12 02:14:33 +0000 UTC]
I don't think I'm rational; hell, I know I'm not. All I did was reply, and you either will or won't think my answer is worth your time. All I did was reply to your comment, and the way you've acted about it is as if I forced something upon you or hurt you. If you can't handle a simple reply, you DO have your panties in a bunch. It really does not get any simpler than that. Does my reply ask for your attention? Sure. Because many artists don't have time to answer people's questions, so others step in to provide a possible answer. I didn't even expect a reply from you, I just wanted to provide a posible explanation for why the artist did what they did, and it's either true or not. Again, the way you acted about it was as if I'd hit you or something, when all I did was reply. It's up to you to determine if my reply is worthy enough to reply to in the first place. No one forces you to reply, and no one is asking that you value my opinion, or change yours, or anything.

Some artists would rather have fantasy-like lips rather than dull ones because it adds some extra sparkle to the picture.
