well i think if your lips in your icon were bright red instead of the greyscale, i'd say they would be similar. even if you think they're not realistic, they look nice and the artist didn't say anything about realism sooo..

...it really doesn't look any cleaner. I truly can't see a difference at all, and I'm fairly detail-oriented....

It's VERY VERY subtle but on close inspection the bottom half of the lip in the second one is a tad bit blurred and slightly yellower, only ever so slightly.
