I think these days i'm a little lazy. I use brush much more than before. But time actually does not allow me to work as careful in details as i used to do before. T___T. I draw alot in pencils, even scan them and save in my laptop. They're all waiting to be colourised someday somehow. Sadly enough when i say tomorrow i'll paint, tomorrow never comes.
For Crystal Rain, it's named after a story ^^. I heard "Never say goodbye" of Hayley Westenra while painting it. The theme, lyrics and content fit spiritually together
"If I could steal this moment forever
Paint a picture-perfect smile
So our story stayed alive

Ừm, thật sự thì khi nghe 1 bài nhạc nào đó tôi luôn gắn nó với 1 hình ảnh

Phía trên để mấy cái lá xanh xanh trông tự nhiên và tươi mát chút (cười khì khì) Nhưng nói chung đây là 1 bức tranh tuyệt vời và nó đi thẳng vào tim mình (nói kiểu này có hơi chủ quan '+')

Thật ra đây là một bức tranh không có background. Mục đích là để nền toàn trắng, line art nhạt, và mở ra không gian phía sau. Nó tuyệt đối trống và mỏng manh, có lẽ Crystal rain trong cảm nhận của Ryo có cái màu như vậy... để vài cái lá sẽ làm cho cảnh vật tự nhiên hơn thật ^^, nhưng mà ... không biết sao thấy ko thích lắm :">

^^ Ban đầu định vẽ theo kiểu sợi mưa mảnh bình thường thôi, nhưng sau đó Ryo nghĩ cái góc chụ
Màu nước trên tay bé Rin đã thử hết các mức xanh rồi, nhưng nhạt nữa thì sẽ... hết thấy luôn '_' CHo nên đàng phải để vậy.

Honestly speaking that's the Rin in fanfiction world who attracts me, not really the one in Rumiko's work. I draw her base mostly based on my feelings and emotions that devote to a particular fanfic/ story at that time ^^. Eventhough when i look back i must smile that it's not the liitle girl in manga, but i have no regret.
It's like she can live another life, many lives, many ending, within many imagination... I love that feelings ^^. I was always think about my picture as the OOC fanarts. It's the fanwork of the fanworks.

The angle and lighting are wonderful, and I love that she isn't grinning like an idiot, as she does far too oftenin the show! She looks so mature and wisdomized (unlike myself)
