Wanted to try this out for a while, oh well, that pandemic thing happened, guess I have time to make vector horses now
I suppose the outcome could be better but I'm sill going to feel good about myself because Inkscape is a devil yet it couldn't stop me, ha! Ok, just kidding, Inkscape isn't a devil, I suppose it's a decent tool to make vectors, the only one I tried so I can't exactly judge but still. The drawing process this time had little to do with regular drawing but I believe I ended up with something worth sharing even though it's far from perfection. Heck, I'm a simple woman, I draw ponies, I post. I don't think I'm about to work on vectors more, frankly, I just wanted to experiment a bit ^u^
Also, yes, I do see I have a problem with adding reflections under character and my gallery is slowly turning into a gathering of creatures sitting on mirrors, trust me, I will figure out more interesting ways to render stuff

Zostałam nim "kopnięta" Po tym jak cały semestr pracowałam na Illustratorze i 6 lekcji na Photoshopie, i wykorzystaniu okresu próbnego w domu. Więc wiesz, nauczyciel wysyła filmiki z pracy w innym programie,a ty się baw

Well, not owning a graphic tablet certainly is a pretty huge problen in digital art.
But if you ever want to give it a try, checking vectors is actually a pretty good idea since there's less typical drawing, more working on shapes like circles or rectangles. I actually did use my graphic tablet while working on this one but as much as I can't imagine completing a huge detailed painting in SAI with a touchpad (ok, I can imagine but it would take eternity), working in Inkscape (or Adobe Illustrator for that matter) like this seems... well, still harder, but totally achievable^^

I'd tend more to draw like I do with my pencil or my pen. As much as vectors sounds easier to use, I prefer something more natural. I checked on Amazon for a good graphic tablet and some websites first to see the one that would suit me. Put in mind that I don't draw daily and it's not a passion of mine. Okay, maybe once I get a tablet I may change. And so far the software (now that people call apps) that I used a couple of time is GIMP. I know it's not PSP but when you just begin and are not planning to go pro, I don't see the use to spend that much money on it.
And yes, it would be pony related. I did made a couple for Inktober 2018. But I feel that I'm too late since the show it over. Oh well, for now the current pandemic is getting on my nerves. And I can't believe someone actually ponified the coronavirus. BTW, you're welcome for the Watch.

I was actually very lucky with graphic tablet since I simply had one at home already. And at the moment I use the second one, which was a gift from my parents. But I do understand that "invest in a tablet or not to invest" is a problem for many people. One can probably start with something cheap... but that's obvious and acknowledging this doesn't actually solve the issue, I know.
And GIMP is a nice software. I do use it a little too^^ (not my main drawing software but still) PSP might be good but it's very expensive... like, even if I were to invest in something, I would probaby pick Clip Studio Paint since on the long run it's cheaper than PSP.
Again, relatable. I actually started watching MLP in 2011 and even drawing it back then but I began to post stuff in 2017, which was late already, and I only really got much attention last year. Now the show is kind of over but... ehhh, let's face it, fandom is bound to die at some point but it will happen very slowly. Or maybe we will get a nice G5, who knows^^

Some people ponified seriously anything. From Cola, to pizza, to condoms.... *rolls eyes* and that robot from Amazon which became quite popular. When it's cute, people like it. Ask furries.
Yeah, I checked on the net about which tablet would fit for a beginner. So far, Wacom intuos S or 6.0 or Huion 1060Plus. Since as a hobby, I won't need a expensive one. Then others say that I should invest into a Wacom Intuos Pro, too expensive for passtime or a Huion WH 1409 which so far seems the logical.
If you ask, I watched G1 back then. I saw fanart, discovered a new generation of the show existed and checked it out. Yep. Kinda out of nostalgia and love for horse, I fell in love with G4.

Actually, fun fact, I do use Wacom Intuos Pro M at the moment and... you know, it's hard to compare to my previous tablet since it had broken drivers but... I suppose that as long as the tablet works and drivers are ok... it should be fine? Like, I don't think there's hell of a lot of difference between cheap and expensive one. Well, to some extend obviously. Of course size makes a difference but aside from that... hard to day. I suppose Huion tablets might be a good choice since they seem to be less expensive than Wacom tablets. One of my friends uses Huion tablet and she says it's fine but her model is the more expensive one so it's hard to say ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Well I guess it was mostly for G4. Many fans are nerds and geeks, so turning their favorite character from another show into a pony felt like possible. But seriously too close of R34. They should have took another number. But what can I say? Horses are the most present animal aside dogs in every stories out there and in history. Also the most drawn animal for its grace and beauty. Add cuteness and brain and voilà! MLP ponies. Plus the bond of human and horse, they are smart, gregarious and social like us.
I decided getting a Huion 1060Plus. The websites I visited said it would be good for a beginner despite some said I should get a Wacom like your. But I don't know how far I will go into drawing so I didn't want to spend too much on one. Alas, with the current pandemic, I got a month of wait from Amazon. Maybe less.
BTW, you probably saw the huge amount of pony OC out there on DA. Apparently many of them didn't even watched the show. They just love the style of the ponies. Can't blame them. They are great for any kind of story. FallOut:Equestria for proof.

I've known that rule for more than 20 years. It destroys childhood memories daily. And 63. The rest I don't bother. And now that 34.2. Since many of bronies are geeks, no wonder. They want to mix many shows they love in one. That and crossovers. And there is no wonder there are more r34 pony art than pokemon. Well since most ponies (not all like the princesses and some other characters) share the same anatomy, it's easier to draw I guess. Also that many young fans became adults and many artists know that is a very lucrative domain. Plus the fact that many of them are not even MLP fans.
People love horses. They are gentle giants. But they can be unpredictable and dangerous like any animal. But with dogs they are the animals that live with humans the most. For 40,000 years most exactly. They are part of our history and we that attachment for them for that reason. Check on DA how many drawings and photos are there and you'll see. I mean besides the MLP ponies. MLP ponies are after all from the dream of a girl wishing to have a pony of her own.

Zrobiłaś więcej niż mi się kiedykolwiek chciało w Inkscapie, szanuje xd
I jak lubię ten program tak chyba nie miałabym cierpliwości do robienia czegoś bardziej skomplikowanego, bo przynajmniej z mojego doświadczenia zajmuje to przynajmniej 2x dłużej niż rysunek na tablecie, ale z kolei przy użyciu tabletu nie jestem w stanie uzyskać tak cudnych gładkich linii :T

No bo kwarantanna, nie ma co robić
Właśnie tak z jakichś powodów są domyślnie krzywe. Rozwiązanie... nie używać linii
Na szczęście istnieje komenda uprość (ctrl + L) i jak się użyje jej na kształcie kilka razy to zaczyna wyglądać znacznie lepiej:
Nie żebym się na tym znała, dopiero to ogarnęłam i czuję potrzebę oznajmiania to światu
Pewnie prawda jest taka, że da się jakoś lepiej skonfigurować tablet z samym Inkscapem w ustawieniach programu, ale... ehhh, to już zbyt zaawansowana informatyka

A jakoś leci, z uczelni mam sporo projektów, bo kolosów nie mogą robić to nie nudzę się jakoś bardzo xd
Szczerze mówiąc nie mam pojęcia jak wygląda praca z Inkscapem z tabletem, bo w wektorki bawiłam się zanim go nabyłam i wyglądało to tak że wrzucałam zdjęcie szkicu na kartce na dolną warstwę i "odrysowywałam" za pomocą tego

Po komendzie ctrl + L polecam jeszcze zaznaczyć wszystkie węzły i użyć tej opcji
Jeszcze bardziej ci to wygładzi linie, baaaaaardzo dużo z tego korzystałam

I w ten piątek była masakra, bo na poprzednich zajęciach wykładowca stwierdził, że on sobie nie wyobraża form zaliczenia online i że chyba na koniec semestru będzie jeden zbiorczy kolos, ale oczywiście w międzyczasie się okazało że kwarantanna się przedłuża i nie powiedział nam że będziemy robić zadania na ocenę *still salty*

(nie żebym sama cokolwiek o nim wiedziała, szczerze powiedziawszy, to co się dzieje na zrzucie ekranu jest dla mnie czarną magią xD)

By program mógł rozpocząć projekt trzeba mieć wszystkie pliki bazowe na pulpicie (co jest chore jeśli pliki są spore), Premier kompletnie z dupy potrafi się wykrzaczyć więc trzeba zapisywać co 5 minut postęp w pracy. W ogóle to program może dostać errora od dowolnej czynności, najbardziej lubuje się w renderowaniu i synchronizacji. By w ogóle ogarnąć jak co działa trzeba całkiem sporo przy tym posiedzieć a i tak wszytko jest toporne jak działania naszego miłościwie nas opodatkowującego rządu XD
