This tutorial is something I made for my friends(In 2 languages) :iconmaganeginplz:
This version is the.. compact version, I put everything into one picture.
If you can't see, I can either upload a new one with separate pictures put into one long picture
Or trough these steps:
1. Open MMEffect/Effect Mapping
2. Press Set Effect and choose your effect you want to use on the model (In this case, shader)
3. Then right click on the model you want to remove the effect from a part of it.
4. Choose "Subset-Extract"
5. A list of subsets appears, find the right subset by unchecking the boxes, after you found the right part (in this case, LAT Models' face, which is somehow unable to use shaders right)
6. Remove the effect from that part by right click => Remove Effect
7. Enjoy making videos with LAT Models + Shaders without distorted faces.

For effects, I don't think there's a way yet, at least I haven't seen any.
For effects you have to import as .x file (accessories), you can try unchecking the display button to see if the effect would disappear, if it does, you can register it in a keyframe.
For effects using the MME windows to put on the models, I have no knowledge of a way.

whenever i load an effect, it says cannot run on this hardware. i tried to use line system effect like the ones in bad apple

Hmm... it's most likely that it's because your graphic card doesn't support the effect, you might have to get a newer graphic card.

is it cheap?? is there anything i could do without getting a new one cause it has at least 128 MB. aghh i am panicking too much sorry

It depends on the card you're buying, but I recommend you asking a techy friend who can show you around a computer hardware store. In most cases, the amount of memory (128MB or 1GB or 512MB) isn't as important as the technology which made the card. It's uncommon for everyone to know about it, so it's best to get tech-support from someone you know.

Bạn có thể load nhiều effect cùng lúc mà, cách dùng subset chỉ áp dụng với effect dạng fx và khi bạn muốn từng bộ phận có thể dùng effect.
Ví dụ: Tóc dùng Adult Shader, mặt dùng Serious Shader.
Tuy nhiên, cho tới giờ thì mình không biết có cách nào để dùng 2 effect lên cùng 1 bộ phận.

You should extract every file in the compressed MME file you downloaded on the internet to the MMD's folder.
Like... er... let's see...
The file should be "MMEffect_v028.zip", when you extract it, you'll get a folder called "MMEffect_v028", get in that folder and move every file in there to MMD's folder (same directory as MikuMikuDance.exe file)

I don't have the MME button.... do I need a different version? I have MMD 7.39.

Ah, then have you installed MME?
If you haven't, download MME, extract it and put all the file in MMD's folder, then you can use MME.

it wont apply the effects, mostly it makes the model black or white or doesn't show up at all and displays some sort of error

Hmm... can you describe the problem clearer? I can't understand what you meant.
But in fact, this tutorial is actually for using shaders/effects on LAT models as their faces will be distorted when using effects that affect them.

I did that before...I think...except when I unchecked the boxes, it seems like each box seems to make a certain bone or detail of the model's disappear.
Like there was one time when I did that, and Black Rock Shooter's pony tails disappeared...and haha...it looked like she had really short hair...although she still looked cute that way.

Ah, well, unchecking the boxes are just for hiding stuff, or when to find the parts XD
I used it to find the parts, so I can remove the effects, I check the box again when I found the part I need
And... of course she does!!!

(It's just an animation, so Len will always get his hair back
It's like Daffy Duck from Bugs Bunny, when Daffy gets shot, he turns into a pile of dust, then he comes back later. XD)
