This is a Light cruiser of the Akurian fleet. This class of light cruiser is on the larger side for light cruisers, and is a battle oriented light cruiser, intended to fight other light cruisers as well as smaller ships. It has a good balance of speed, firepower and protection, enabling it to serve in a wide variety of roles.Related content

That is an interesting design. Reminds somewhat of the historical Jeanne d'Arc cruiser - if obviously in school of design and function, not in shape. Very fast and festooned in weapons all over.
The nozzles in the sponsons are a curious touch. Are those retro-thrusters?

Yes, the ship has both forward facing and rear facing thrusters, as well as smaller side and top/bottom thrusters for omni directional maneuvering.
Though if there was a design i'd say this would be inspired from, it is probably the USN Cleveland and St. Louis (1939) class of light cruisers.
