Description
A remake of my earlier Defense monitor design. Typical of a Defense monitor this ship is small, but heavily protected for a ship of its size. It also has a lot of firepower for a small ship. This particularity version is equipped for a more escort configuration, with a dozen twin 64 cm guns. The main drawbacks of this ship is it is slow, and it lacks a missile armament. However the ship is designed to fight outside of FTL barriers where it can use its FTL to get into closer range combat, where its gun and beam heavy armament allow it to dominate.
