Once i had it allbut just as soon as it came
it faded
right before my eyes
i had front row seats
to watch my life
change in so many ways
this love i had
a friendship unlike any other
dissapeared, like the flame
of a smothered candle
it was beautiful
like a brilliant diamond
gleaming more brightly
then the sun itself
these words flow
like water from a faucet
but they dont breach the surface
like rolling off a rock
but give it time
maybe they will touch something
make me realize
what i had was too beautiful
to good to give up
from my heart
all of this comes
not a sentence said that isnt meant
i have been told time and time again
that its better to love and to have lost
then to never love at all
but i believe thats false
a hopeless romantic
might be what i am
but this i do know
its a fact that cant be denied
