I read the full thing and I didn't see any reference to the gods

in the description of the cover of this comic, I explain that this is a short story BEFORE the actual main story. The main story has the gods, this one was only to introduce and get a feeling for the two main characters.
Besides, its not like every exsisting Greek story has to have the gods in it.
