This is a very nice photo; it looks quite eery how the land just fades into nothingness. It also looks like it could have been in a horror film.

I agree with the other comments - I don't think it would have had the same effect in colour as it does in black & white.

this is one of those pics you just can't imagine ever being in colour. it's almost surreal in a way...and i do like it!

the colors were not helping with the atmosphere of the photo (murky brown and blue) and i tried to make it as surreal as possible, just by making a good composition.

It's beautiful!
I love the way the (?) tower disappears into he mist, and especially the ragged edge of the beach. The darker foreground is really beautiful too. It definately wouldn't be as powerful in colour.
What is the tower, if I may ask?

it isn't a tower but a pole on the shore to show you on wich 'kilometer' of beach you are, there are numbers on them to show you where you are (the numbers correspond with the numbers on the local map ) and thank you

thank you ^^ foggy days have some really good amtosphere. I once got a tip of someone: try to make photos in every weathercondition and you'll get some very awesome pics.

Oh my goodness, this is amazing. The way the sandbank just dissapears into nothingness, the fog contrasting amazingly with the heavy dark tones of the rock. The gradient toning of the entire image..

The small reflection of the pole in the water! That's incredible! And the way that's the only geometric shape in the whole image of organic shapes.. My god.

I absolutely love this. And i'm not one for landscapes.

Great shot, dear.
