MY FIRST DEVIATION!! Woohoo

Tregetour: A juggler, trickster or deceiver. More often used to describe a magical creature bent on cunning deception. Ie. Puck from a Midsummer Nights Dream.
This is the first in my 'Artifice' series or a smaller part of my broader study of theatre.
Open to interpretation although please view the next pieces in the series for a deeper understanding. Hehe...

beautiful!! the only teeny tiny observation i have is about those little white dots, you probably mean for them to be going in different "wind directions", but something about them is a littel distracting. too white perhaps, or too large? other than that wow

I think I originally made them a little too bright as my printer refused to pick them up at all but I obviously forgot to change it back

I enjoy, out of all things, how this photo lacks the perfected shine of the others in the planet genre, instead, the grittiness adds the the message you're trying to generate, at the least in aesthetics.

This is really beautiful...to be honest I normally...well I don't want to say Hate but I usually highly dislike photo-manips...but I really really like this one. I think it's the theatrical quality of it that I am enjoying most.

I agree - photo-manips are often very stereotypical. It can be hard to break out of the cliches of the genre.

Now this is really, really good. I love how it just flows over from person to pieces. The colors are warm, very nice to look at. Love the details, the shadows, the lighting. The stars are very nice extras.

Good work. It has a sense of reality as well as being a little mystic.
I like how the body disintegrates when it nears the wings (I don't know if that's supposed to be why). The scratchy lighting is a good touch.
I don't know about about the hanging moon and stars, though. I recognize the effect, but I've never liked it. I'm pretty reasonable and I don't think that this creature actually exists. I don't need some of the objects to look deliberately fake. Indulge me please.

I guess the moon/stars on string idea is a matter of personal preference but I can definitely see what your saying. I was split with the decision to put them in or not but the fact is my work this year has to relate to the theme 'stage' for my art class. They reinforce that theme.

This is absolutely amazing, and very beautiful. I really love how you put together the elements in this is wonderful. I really love how you made the stars and the moon look as if though they are hanging of the top off of one of those shoebox projects. I wish you did the same with the earth, as well. I also love how you gave it a painterly feeling to it. You don't see that much in photomanip. This is beautiful!

You really hit the nail on the head! I was actually thinking of doing the whole shoebox/massive-life-size box thing for when it goes on display next month

I might actually try doing a digital painting of this - now that I've broken into that medium.
Its half done already really - all I would have to paint are the figure and planets...
