Brilliant, makes me think of a close up of the human nervous system...

Very different from your usual and it's pretty good! Has that organic, liquid plasma look to it.

Indeed, I'd like to do more organic ones, it's just that the corresponding patterns are much more difficult to draw algorithmically...

Figures, well you can always try a few of them out when the other styles seem to be getting repetitive.

i wonder what the mathematical function used to create this looked like? and on what scale of magnitude this image was captured thereof...?

this amazing fractal exhibits biomimicry - I'm imagining that im living in an electron microslide looking at a neuronal synapse in real-time!

Thanks! All my images are based on the same type of algorithms as FBM. A pattern is summed at different scales. More infos there: [link] ilpat . In this case, the pattern piled is a tweak on the Perlin noise function [link] g-perlin .

Ok, DA is really too stupid. Go there [link] , click on "Pattern piling". Then go to "Pattern generator" and click on "Perlin noise" for more info...

Deviantart interprets my links as smileys... Try ilpat"this and g-perlin"this .
