WIP of a Leopard class dropship. I'm going to use this in the Mercpedia app, but I'm adding a ton of detail. I might end up getting this sucker 3d printed
This version has some shadowing to help bring out details.

Nevermind, looked it up. Looks like a lot of Aerospace stuff was taken from it.

Not just the jets - but also the mechs too; and not just Joe - also Robotech/Macross, and Dougram - literally Battletech Japan.

Only 4 mechs were copied from Japanese companies, and were all subsequently licensed for use in the US. I wasn't aware of the Aerotech designs, as I didn't spend any time playing that and no lawsuits were filed.
As a point of note though, playmates got away of doing the same thing to FASA. FASA had to pay licensing fees and Playmates got a free pass.
