Description
The next bird that is part of my studies on birds of prey is none other than the fastest animal alive... the peregrine falcon! It was interesting drawing this bird in particular, because falcons have a very pronounced tomial tooth (the ridge behind the hooked nail on the beak). This tomial tooth is used as a means of helping falcons break the necks of the birds they catch. Their eyes are also very dark, and the pupil is often barley visible as a result.
