Description
A male dragon attacks a small caravan of Scorpio Clan slavers and their mounts on the plains as they attempt to transport captured youths to Deltthion for brainwashing into Dark Corps riders. Their arrows bounce off his skin and with one swipe, he smashes the caravan for the slavers, cutting the scorpion driver in half with a single blow. His magic also binds their berserker in poison vines to prevent him from using his stolen Iilbrithin sword in combat. For the captive youths in the cart, their luck has changed for the better. In Kairegorn, slavery has been outlawed since dragons rose to power as a species under Drakkus the Ancient One, and Luminos and the Dragon Kings made it a crime for any humanoid or dragon to enslave another for servitude or profit. All beings in Kairegorn's four races are born free. However, some nomad tribes, particularly the orc-allied Scorpio Clan have served as slavers for Deltthion since his rise to power. These slavers were particularly good at finding children for Deltthion's army, stealing them from their homes to brainwash them into serving the Dark Corps. When the dragons became more and more aware of Deltthion's slavers as the war progressed, more and more individual dragons, (some being the royal guards, others elders, and many just dragons from families that lived in the surround areas) all began hunting down and killing the slavers and freeing their captives with permission from the dragon kings and queens. Since the rule of Queen Medea, any dragon that finds or happens upon slavers is given permission to kill them on sight and to free their captives, something more and more common as the Scorpio clan grows with the Millennium War.
