Description
A lone Sauroniops scavenges a dead titanosaur in the late afternoon of Kem Kem's open floodplains. However the predator had better keep his guard up. He may be 40-feet long, but he shares this territory with Carcharodontosaurus, his larger and more ferocious cousin. If he's not careful, he'll end up losing his easy lunch to a 43-50 foot bully, or worse yet, a pair.Related content

Man it seems like mid creataceous Egypt was packed with predators.

That may be because water was washing them all from different habitats into the same places. Some of these species may also have been separated by tens of millions of years.

The Cenomanian is still not very well understood.

Ah. Well, based on evidence, it's the sister species to the carcharodontosaurid Eocarcharia and inhabited the Kem Kem alongside Carcharodontosaurus.
