Description
Following the lessons by Aaron Blaise on how to use skulls to restore prehistoric cats, I started with the most famous one of them all; Smilodon. The skull I used as a tracing reference to restore the beast was graciously and generously provided by fellow Deviant Kehmy ( kehmy.deviantart.com ). The skull itself can be seen here: kehmy.deviantart.com/art/Smilo… . I might be inclined to work a bit more into it later on, but I wanted to share this, so Smilodon makes his debut in my gallery. My favorite part of this was the fur; I found a great brush in Photoshop that is wonderful for fur texture.

Done in both Artrage 3.5 and Photoshop CC 2015. Roar!
