Description
A little girl sat alone, playing with a stuffed bunny. "Lopsie, Lopsie, old and Flopsie what colour is the sky?" The girl said softly. "Silly rabbit, simple rabbit, why do you cry? Is it because you can't see, the colour of the sky? It's blue you see, so vivid and bright, during the golden day. But deep at night, it's quite a fright, with a blackened gray." She recited this softly, and held the rabbit in her lap."Little child, quiet child, give your smile to me. For even though I'm old and broke your smile I can see. The brillient sky, not in my sight, and not for me. Perhaps perhaps the two of us will visit the moon, we'll have to wait and see." The rabbit replied.
With that the girl went to bed, holding Lopsie close. And listened to the terrors, of night-things come close. From the closet came the boogy-man, tall and dark and slim. His hair deep black and framed his face, his suit neat and grim. The little girl was unafraid, by the evil sight, of the boogy-man's sharped fangs glinting in the moon-light.
"Sleep-well, little one. Tonight we go. Tonight I take you to the moon, tonight the world shall know." His voice came smooth and gently, not very deep at all. He watched the child smile at him, and close her sky-blue eyes. Her breathing slowly evened out, and the boogy-man took his rise. Gently he lifted her, and left in the night. Outlined by the moon, which glew rather bright.
To the moon they went, before the sun could rise. And there they chose to rest and stay, for the rest of their lives. With all the little children there, and the Boogy-man would watch. Sometimes he left and brought new kids, who played and laughed 'round the clock. The children were all very happy, with their little lives. Not knowing how the familes they left behind, cried and cried, and cried.
The little kids had been collected, their spirits brought to peace. On this happy moon of their's, where there was no need to eat or sleep. The Boogy-man was always kind, a father of sorts. The human lives left behind and with time forgot. And back on earth the mothers cried, mourning the innocent loss. Learning how fragile the life-line was, and how quick a child is lost.
And once a year, in fairy tale, the cow would jump the moon. The children would laugh and cheer, in delight to hear the cow visited so soon. From where they were, they could watch Old mother Hubbard, search through her cupboard, and watch the hen lay golden eggs. The children lived in fairy-tale while parents struggled day-to-day.
The moon is a sacred place, where all the children go. Where they laugh and sing and play, and pretend the sand was snow. And sometimes the children return, but in a different form. They come back to see how the earth could turn. While Lopsie, who was old and Flopsie, watched the girl smile. He was new all over again, and knew that when he was worn, the moon, a new child it shall adorn.

When I find something to write a book about. I'm having trouble focusing enough to keep a plot.
