Description Finally finished!!

A snow leopard mask with a moving jaw that works very well and follow-you eyes.

I will be entering it in the end-of-the-semester art competition.
Made out of mainly duct tape, paper, and a cheap mardi gras mask from Michaels, along with other odds and ends, costing me at least $15 to make.

I had wanted to experiment to see how a feline profile fit on a human head without making the head look ginormous, and this mask turned out to be just the perfect size.

great mask very nice i love it

but since it only cost $15 to make would it cost that much to commission one?

thank you

it cost roughly 15 dollars to make, but commissions would cost a bit more because of the time and energy that it takes to make it, about $25 or $30

That’s amazing! How do you get the jaw to move?

SabrePanther In reply to afiriti [2011-07-18 11:24:30 +0000 UTC]

The jaw is hinged, and the lower part of the mask rests on my chin and moves as my chin moves.

Ah, thank you! I’m currently working on getting a jaw to be movable, and it’s good to know how others accomplish this.

welcome and if it helps, I've found that sturdy cheap plastic spoons, forks & knives make good hinges if you're careful not to break them when drilling an hole in them.
