Anyone else remember how obscenely fun this game was ?For those of you that don't know, Cold Shadow was this great SNES and PC game that Disney made back in the day.
The basic premise was that you played as Donald Duck, starring in this movie about a detective (Maui Mallard) that investigates this case on a tropical island.
Through some freak coincidences, he ends up this chosen one hero that must save the island he was investigating, by transforming into this Ninja Master (Cold Shadow) that used this kick ass 3 sectioned staff.
Now, honestly, I may sound like a jerk for saying it, but Disney really needs to stop sucking and start making cool stuff like they used to.
...I mean, stuff like Finding Nemo is cool and all, but come ON, this was Donald Duck as a NINJA ! How could they NOT have animated this ?!

Ah Maui Mallard. That's a game that will NEVER die. I still have the game, and I still play it to this day. I even have its soundtrack! Damn I miss my early childhood.

I think I might have an answer to your question.
You see, all these movies we have around now are all pretty straightfoward, and we can see where it's going. You also have to remember that Disney is making kids movies now.
HOWEVER.
The twist in this game is crazy, and parents might not approve of the fighting, even if it's just a duck whacking people with a stick.

This game WAS pure success, BEST Disney game ever made. Awesome soundtrack mixed to sweet challenge! Espcially PC version was tough one for a little boy like me! Seriously wizard Donald was interesting add to KH but Ninja Donald... Hell yeah!

I remeber that guy. Even his story was hilliarous. He is a ninja who possesed about 1.000 souls until he lost one; now he restlessly uses Donald/Maui to find the one soul he lost.

I remember when I was about 8 they had a P.G. 13 Disney Movie Called Mickey Mouse in, "Ruaway Brain" it was difficult to believe it was a Disney film, but it featured some of Mickey's old adversaries including The Mad Baboon-Scientist Dr. Eek, I think...

omfg i loved that game...barely got past the first level lol. dammit i wish i had a windows 98 lying around so i can play it..the games on windowsxp sux but it is a good computer while the 98 is a horrible computer but the games kick butt! huh the good old days..lol that was like 5yrs ago for me^^ when i was 11

Disney didn't make this game. It was Eurocom. And I think that Capcom was responsible for the bulk of the Nes/Snes Disney games.

I don't beleive this! YOU USED TO LOVE THAT GAME AS WELL! THAT GAME WAS ONE OF MY ULTIMATE FAVORITES! The only reason that I don't play it anymore is because it dosn't work for Windows 2000. That, and I don't know where the CD is. And i also agree with some of your reviewers. They should revive a lot of the cool disney shows of the past. This is going into my favorites.
P.S. I still remember the passwords to all the levels for the PC version!

That was the best game I ever played then! Too bad the program spoiled. I couldn't get past the stage where you have to hop out of the volcano or somewhere with lava or fire to safety.

I have it around my house SOMEWHERE. Only problem is my laptop won't play cds anymore cause the drive sucks. But yeah that was one hell of a game. Donald rocks anyway, but him as a ninja rules. I'm kinda angry Disney never went any further than the games (to my knowledge). That game rocked so much, my MOM liked it. In fact, she loved it.

Well technicly, Disney's commercial animators back in the late 80's to late 90's used to make cool stuff (Remember Chip and Dales rescue rangers or Ducktales anyone?) And this person I knew who used to work at Disney in 2000 said he and his team were making a Cold Shadow cartoon, but eveyone knows the rest of the story. Four years later, Disney had fired most of the commercial animated staff, trashed any future projects that started in 2000 and move on with PIXAR animation, and they had killed there characters when moving into the 3-D age. Bad Disney, Bad!

First to the point: That picture simply rocks, like Donald Duck always did. *favs*
Next: They should add something like Cold Shadow to the new Kingdom Hearts o.O It'd be awesome to fight with him in either a GBA RPG or PS2 3D...Disney should add all the cool stuff into one Kingdom Hearts game.
