And I disagree about adding anything more to the BG, that lovely black void is serving as a frame around everything that matters to the scene and gives the elements that are there a lot of contrast and punch, look how rad that briefcase halo looks set against that thing!
You have great instincts for composing really effective scenes, no need for second guesses with that ability on hand!
