Your technique at drawing faces has come so far in such a short time!
Very nice combination of mediums also, the crazy Nebulous background is so cool looking, I bet it was intimidating to add that next to all your delicate pencil work but it turned out great!

I wanted to add a 1 color background only but i thought watercolor would look dull and i couldn't find the red marker ... so i went with this

i like the solid black of her top... and the soft pencil figure against the cosmic ink circle.... she feels. ..... distant maybe ghostly .... While her gaze is, perhaps wise or judgmental.

Dear, Dear Sabina,
far from my heart the intention to entrap you in the kind of art that you practice better: an artist has no boundaries for definition, he is always tempeted by challenges, when he stops and he feels too sicure of his art, thatβs the worst moment of his research...
So Iβm really happy for you cause now you are confronting with portrait and itβs a nice result your work.Β
But like a Trainer I remind you the expressivity of your other works where you follow your inner deeper feelings, so for portrait maybe you have to find the right feeling with your subject: that could make the difference, I think itβs not matter of conquering a technique...
This is my point of view: recently I had to push myself toward βspeed drawingβ and βspeed paintingβ where my mood controls entirely the procedure: I turned forward an emotional painting, not perfect, quite βdirtyβ, not refined, but thatβs the way for me to unleash my feelings: I follow my brush, I donβt control it.
