Making spirit form characters out of the space shuttle is a really original idea! That's something I've never seen before; very creative and entertaining. I like how you made them be animals.
About the art itself; nice smooth lines and cel color; gives it a real sense of weight.

I saw one of these on the main page as they came in and I'm curious as to what this is. I like the idea of the space shuttles being actual creatures, but I'd like a better description of what the deal here is.

Its quite hard to explain how I came up with this concept. It came to be after the Columbia Disaster but at that time they all took the form of humans. It wasnt till the 2004 I made them into some fantasy/Sci-fi Creatures(all accept Appolo I, he remained a human for obvious reasons. Hes like their "God"). I guess you can put it this way. God(or a higher power which ever your prefer)made man, man made machines and I thought of it this way: The engine of a Machine is its heart, the fuel, its blood, and the computer,its brain therefore a "different" form of life is born thus leading to the spiritual forms of the orbiters
