Haha, something told me I'd like Grunkle Stan and Mabel from that one episode I did see so far too! As did this picture, fav.me/d8u0c2f , which so far is my favorite Gravity Falls fanart made by someone I don't actually know here (if that sentence made any sense).

Grunkle Stan and Mabels relationship is really cute. She can be a bit selfish sometimes and put herself ahead of her Grunkle and Brother but she honestly reminds me of Orin and Stan, Scotty a bit! (If Scotty maybe got into the scotch a bit more and wanted to profit from helpless tourists XD). He really does have a big heart and that really shows later in the season. He seems to identify more with his niece than nephew.

Aww, I can't wait to see more of them then. Maybe Grunkle Stan identifies with Mabel more than Dipper because they both seem (again, going by what very little I've seen so far) more impetuous and carefree, whereas Dipper is more the hesitant, down-to-earth type.

When you said that, I instantly had an image in my head of Scotty putting forth the idea that Loch Furlee (the little lake next to his retirement town in my head-canon) has its own, smaller, previously-lesser-known monster just like Ness'... and him gathering a few folks on the banks to tell the story, only to be interrupted (on cue) by Orin, in a kiddie snorkel set, paddling up a plastic plesiosaurus mask and making little roaring noises. (She'd probably rope Calius into helping and being another little lake monster, if it was during their visit. )

(...I kind of feel bad rambling on about cute silly stuff like this right after I read your journal, by the way.  Again, I hope you stay safe and everything works out. )
